A warm welcome to a month-long offering of Dhamma in the serene setting of Arañya Saṅghārāma. Ajahn Kevali
Venerable Ajahn Kevali, a former physicist from Germany, was ordained in 1998 and has been the abbot of Wat Pah Nanachat since 2007. He is known for nurturing a communal spirit at the monastery and for his teachings on the Brahma Vihāras. His leadership reflects a balance of disciplined monastic training and open-hearted practice.
Ajahn Dhammasīha
Venerable Ajahn Dhammasīha was born in West Germany in 1966. After discovering the Dhamma during travels in India, he ordained in Sri Lanka in 1995. He later trained in the Ajahn Chah tradition in Australia, receiving guidance from senior forest monks. Since 2007, he has served as the founding abbot of Dhammagiri Forest Hermitage in Brisbane, offering teachings rooted in the Pāli Canon.
Ajahn Jayasaro
Born in the UK in 1958, Venerable Ajahn Jayasaro became a disciple of Ajahn Chah in Thailand in 1978 and was fully ordained in 1980. A senior Western disciple in the Thai Forest Tradition, he served as abbot of Wat Pah Nanachat from 1997 to 2002. Since 2003, he has lived in a hermitage near Khao Yai National Park. Venerable Ajahn Jayasaro is a respected teacher and author of Stillness Flowing, the biography of Ajahn Chah.
