Pilgrimage to Bodhgaya – Vaishali
We have a golden opportunity of accompanying 6 monks for a pilgrimage from 27th Nov – 12 Dec 2025.
The pilgrimage will be led by Ajahn Kevali, the Abbott of Wat Pah Nanachat, the International Monastery of Ajahn Chah tradition in Ubon, Thailand.
The pilgrimage will begin from Bodh Gaya and end at Aranya Sangarama monastery (ASM) . It will also include a short stay and site visits at Vaishali.
Tentative schedule:
27th Nov- Reach Bodhgaya
2nd Dec – Tipitaka chanting starts
6th Dec- Reach Vaishali
9th Dec- Patna – Chandigarh Flight,- travel by taxi to ASM
12th Dec – Depart from ASM , Reach Delhi
— The trip has to be completely self-financed.
— The nearest railway station to Bodh Gaya is Gaya while the airport GAYA is near Bodhgaya itself. You should plan your travel to reach Bodhgaya latest by the evening of 27th Nov.
— However, we can help in making travel arrangements during the pilgrimage and book accommodations (at Bodh Gaya)
Registration
The lay members keen to have the privilege of meditating with Ajahn Kevali at Bodhgaya and Vaishali and making meal offerings to the Sangha are requested to register with Payal Sood, the coordinator of this trip, by sending a message on WhatsApp @ 8178100722 at the earliest so that accommodation and travel arrangements can be made in time.
