25 DECEMBER — Opening Day: Intention

  • 5:30–7:00 — Morning Puja and meditation

  • 11:00 — Anumodanā & Meal
  • Afternoon — Rest / Personal Practice

  • 4:00–5:00 — New Year Aspiration Workshop
  • Reflecting on:
    • What qualities to cultivate in the new year
    • What to let go of from the past year
  • Collective Aspirations:Participants write a wholesome aspiration for the new year. The aspirations are placed near the shrine for the rest of the week.
  • 5:00 — Nāmpāna
  • 7:00–8:30 — Evening Puja and meditation

26 DECEMBER — Dāna Day

  • 5:30–7:00 — Morning Puja and meditation
    • Includes announcement of the Generosity Practice Game.
    • Participants write simple “acts of generosity” prompts and place them in a central bowl.
    • Examples:
      • Offer sincere words of appreciation to someone
      • Write a kind note to someone who has quietly supported you
      • Notice something out of place and quietly fix it
      • Pick up any litter you see
      • Choose one person and silently send them mettā throughout the day

  • 8:00 — Piṇḍapāta
  • 9:00–10:30 — Seva
    • More prompts for generosity may be added to the bowl.
  • 10:30 — Drawing the Prompts
    • Each person draws a generosity prompt to carry out quietly before the end of the day.

  • Afternoon — Rest / Personal Practice
  • 3:00–4:00 — Group meditation
  • 4:00–5:00 — Sutta readings on Dāna followed by group discussion
  • 5:00 — Nāmpāna

  • Chanting + reflection on the joy of generosity.

27 DECEMBER — Silent Practice Weekend, Day 1

    • Includes announcement that Noble Silence is to be kept over the weekend.
