Āsāḷha Pūṇimā commemorates the day on which the Buddha delivered his first discourse, the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, to his first five disciples. “This day marks the setting in motion of the Wheel of Dhamma through the exposition of the Four Noble Truths and is popularly observed in India as Guru Purnima.”

5:30–7:00 am — Morning Puja and guided meditation

8:00 am — Piṇḍapāta

9:00–10:00 am — Seva

10:30 am  — Taking of Precepts and Saṅghadāna, followed by meal offering

2:00–3:30 pm — Session about Four Noble truths (Contemplation and Discussion)

5:00 pm — Nampāna

6:00–7:00 pm —Walking meditation 

7:00–8:30 pm — Patimokha 

9:00 pm — –  Evening session (Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta chanting)& circumbulation of pond

30 July

5:30–7:00 am — Morning Puja and guided meditation

8:00 am — Piṇḍapāta

9:00 –10:00 am — Seva

10:30 am — Taking of Precepts and Saṅghadāna, followed by meal offering

1:30–3:00 pm — Session about using Vassa for deepening Spiritual practice  

4:00 pm —      Nampāna  

5:00– 6:00pm —Tour of new development sites in the monastery 

6:30–7:00 pm — Entering Vassa

7:00–8:30 pm — Evening Puja and guided meditation
