Monday evening sessions will see regular practitioner(s) present their Dhamma journey , especially focussing on the areas / subjects that they found difficult to grasp, the main hindrances faced while trying to understand and live according to Dhamma and how these were overcome, and so on.

This is an opportunity to dwell on one’s own journey and also listen to clarifications provided to address the presenters areas of difficulty.

Kartika purnima / Sāriputta parinibbana day :

Kartika Purnima i.e the Purnima (full moon) day of the fifteenth lunar day of Kartik (November–December), is traditionally considered the day when Ven Sāriputta attained Parinibbana. This year we propose to have discussion on Ananthpindakovada sutta (https://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/mn/mn.143.than.html) , a profound discourse given by Ven Sariputta to the great lay disciple when Ananthpindaka was on his death bed. This will be an extended evening session:

· Opening evening chant.

· Chanting of the extract of Sutta.

· Panel discussion on the Sutta :

Three panellists will make their brief starting comments on the Sutta. This will be followed by on open discussion between the panellists and other participants of the session.

During the evening sessions we will continue explorations into the 3 characteristics of the Khandhas. We are currently revising Saññā. These sessions are in a workshop mode, with participants working in small groups to identify their tendencies as well as the Buddha’s advice on dealing with these.
