Dhammarama Closing Ceremony

The Buddha said that all conditioned things arise and pass away.

In this spirit, with deep gratitude and fond memories, we announce the permanent closure of the Dhammarama Meditation Centre in Dwarka, Delhi, effective Tuesday, 14th October. The closing ceremony will be held in the revered presence of Luang Por Liem.

Established in June 2017 in the auspicious presence of Luang Por Sumedho, Dhammarama served as a space for monastic residence, retreats, Dhamma teachings, and a library. Over 8 years, it became a sanctuary of Dhamma — a place enriched with the presence of sincere practitioners.

Dhammarama has fulfilled its role as a stepping stone for the Aranya Sangharama monastery, which was inaugurated in February 2025 and is now home to a resident monastic community. Lay supporters continue to visit and benefit from the living Dhamma there.

The closure of Dhammarama marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, as the Sangha and Aranya Vihara Trust now focus on nurturing Aranya Sangharama.

We warmly invite you to join us for the Closing Ceremony in expressing gratitude to this space and those who supported it.
